Mohinga is one of the most well know dishes throughout Myanmar and it is considered the national dish of Myanmar. Mohinga is made with rice vermicelli noodles served in a thick fish broth flavored by an array of ingredients including ginger and lemongrass. It is usually comes with the array amazing ingredients, dry chili flakes, lime juice, coriander and slice of hard-boiled egg, so that you can customize the way you like it.
As almost everybody love Mohinga, you can find it almost everywhere in Myanmar from street side foot stalls to posh hotels.
One of the most popular dish, which as snack, as appetizer or can be eaten with rice as side dish.
The dish is usually mixed with fermented tea leaves mixed with combination of sesame seeds, chopped cabbages, fried garlic, tomatoes, dried shrimp, and peanuts filled with little oil and few slice of spicy chili. To add sour taste, the dish comes with slice of limes.
The dish is most popular and favorite among students as eating tea leaf salad late in the evening prevent sleep and stay up late for their study.
This is the dessert which literally mean golden heart cooler.
Though it is especially very popular in April hot summer days when Thingyan and Myanmar New Year time, this dessert is is eaten all year round. It is made with delicious pieces of sago, agar jelly, sticky rice and bread covered in a chilled sweetened coconut milk. Very refreshing on a hot summer’s day.
